Bucs put up a good fight before falling in OT 34-31 to the Bears

Coach Gruden finally got fed up with Bruce Gradkowski and replaced him with Tim Rattay.  Rattay brought the Bucs from way back and helped lead them into OT.  Rattay completed 20 of 35 passes for 268 with 3 TDs and 1 INT.  Bruce Gradkowski only completed 5 of 11 passes for 37 yards.  Cadillac Williams had a rough game with 11 carries for 26 yards (2.4 ypc),  Mike Alstott made his touches count as he carried the ball 6 times for 26 yards (4.3 ypc) and a TD.  Michael Pittman only carried the ball 2 times for 5 yards, but he caught 4 passes for 30 yards.  Joey Galloway had a great game with 3 catches for 107 yards and a TD.  Ike Hilliard also had a decent game with 3 grabs for 55 yards and a TD.  Rookie Maurice Stovall added 3 catches for 42 yards.  TE Alex Smith wasy busy with 5 catches for 24 yards and a TD.

The defense was led by Shelton Quarles who had 15 tackles.  Safety Jermaine Phillips had 9 tackles and a sack and Phillip Buchanon had 10 tackles.  The Bears ran the ball 34 times for 134 yards (3.9 ypc).  The Bears completed 29 of 44 passes for 312 net yards passing.

The Bucs fell to 3-11 on the season with this tough loss.
