Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have lost 3 games in a row but secured the NFC West division championship last week.  The Bucs snapped a 4 game losing streak with a 22-7 in Cleveland last week.

The Seahawks will run the football with Shaun Alexander (804 yards rushing) and Maurice Morris (565 yards rushing) against a Bucs defense that is allowing 119.0 yards rushing per game and 3.9 yards per carry.  Matt Hasselbeck should have a good game throwing the ball against a leaky Bucs secondary that has allowed 209.5 net yards passing per game.  The Bucs don’t have much of a pass rush so Hasselbeck and Seneca Wallace should be able to pick them apart.

The Bucs will probably come out running the football against the Seahawks.  Michael Pittman and Mike Alstott will probably split carries like they did so effectively last week against Cleveland.  The Seahawks defense is giving up 127.9 yards rushing per game and 4.6 yards per carry so far this season.  The Bucs also should be able to throw the ball well now that Tim Rattay is the starting QB.  Look for Rattay to spread the ball around to Joey Galloway, Maurice Stovall and TE Alex Smith.

This should be a much better game than most people will think.  I’m siding with the Seahawks in this game because they simply have the better team.
