The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose a couple offensive starters for the season
The Bucs win at Carolina didn’t come without a cost as starting left offensive tackle Luke Petitgout and running back Cadillac Williams both suffered season ending injuries. Petitgout tore his ACL and he will be replaced by Anthony Davis, who should be Petitgout’s equal as he hasn’t played that great this season. But, losing Williams could hurt as he was a workhorse for the Bucs offense. Williams tore a patellar tendon in his knee and it could be a career threatening injury. He carried the ball 54 times for 208 yards (3.9 ypc) with 3 TD runs and he also caught 3 passes for 17 yards (5.7 avg). Michael Pittman and Ernest Graham will take over the running chores for the Bucs the rest of the season. Pittman has carried the ball 30 times for 170 yards (5.7 ypc) and he also has caught 9 passes for 78 yards (8.7 avg) so far this season. Graham has also gotten off to a good start to the season with 30 carries for 136 yards (4.5 ypc) with 3 TD runs and he also has caught 2 passes for 17 yards (8.5 avg). The Bucs will also activate rookie Kenneth Darby off of the practice squad to add depth to the running back corps.
