4. (115) Dre Moore, DT

Dre Moore has a lot of potential but he just started playing football as a junior in high school so he still has a lot to learn.  Moore needs to stay low in his stance because when he stands up he gets blown out.  Moore is 6′4″, 307 pounds and he’s not especially quick off the ball.  Moore played in 44 games (26 starts) at Maryland and he made 140 tackles, had 17.5 tackles for a loss, 10.5 sacks, batted down 2 passes and forced 2 fumbles.  Moore will have to work hard in training camp if he wants to earn his way into the DT rotation this season.

3. (83) Jeremy Zuttah, OG/T

Jeremy Zuttah might not be the most athletic player in the league but he might be one of the toughest.  He needs a little work on his footwork in pass protection but he’s ready to go as a run blocker.  Zuttah is 6′3″, 299 pounds but he only runs a 5.45 40 which shows he’s a tad slow.  The Bucs might give him a chance to fight for a starting job down the road but he will be a backup this season unless the Bucs suffer some injuries to the interior of the line.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers release QB Bruce Gradkowski

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Breaking Buccs News, General Buccaneers Talk by admin on Monday 2 June 2008 at 11:21 pm

Bruce Gradkowski got caught in a numbers game in Tampa as Coach Gruden likes to collect QBs.  Gradkowski probably saw the handwriting on the wall when the Bucs traded for Brian Griese and drafted Josh Johnson out of San Diego.  Gradkowski played in 4 games for the Bucs last season and he completed 13 of 24 passes (54.2%) for 130 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 interception (52.4 QB Rating).  He also carried the ball 7 times for 20 yards (2.9 ypc).  Gradkowski finishes his career with the Bucs having played in 17 games in which he completed 190 of 352 passes (54%) for 1,791 yards with 9 TD passes and 10 interceptions (65.0 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 48 times for 181 yards (3.8 ypc).  Gradkowski might have a rough time finding a new job due to his lack of arm strength.
