The Buccaneers have lost offensive guard Arron Sears for the year after the team placed him in the reserve/non-football injury list.  Sears looked like a big part of the Bucs future after playing in 31 games (all starts) during the 2007+2008 seasons.  It will be interesting to see if Sears comes back for the 2010 season focused or if he is a lost cause.

The Buccaneers have lost starting punter Dirk Johnson for the season due to a severe hamsting injury.  Johnson played in all 11 games for the Bucs this season and he punted the ball 62 times for 2,558 yards (41.3 avg).  He only had 3 touchbacks (4.8%) and he placed the ball inside the opposing 20 yard line 16 times (25.8%) this year.  The Bucs will be signing a new punter this week but he will be hard pressed to do as good of a job as Johnson was.
