The Buccaneers took at 24-14 lead in this game on a 2-yard TD pass from running back Earnest Graham to TE John Gilmore with only 10:24 left in the game.  Eric Weems of the Falcons returned the kickoff 102 yards for a TD on the next play after Graham’s TD pass to cut the Bucs’ lead to 3 points.  Matt Ryan then fired a 9-yard TD pass to Michael Jenkins with 4:31 left in the game which finished the scoring and gave the Falcons a win over the Bucs. 

Josh Freeman wasn’t at his best in this game as he completed 19 of 38 passes for 181 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 4 times for 28 yards (7.0 ypc) in this game.  LeGarrette Blount rushed for 103 yards on 20 carries (5.2 ypc) with a TD run in this game.  WR Mike Williams (5 rec, 59 yards, TD), WR Sammie Stroughter (6 rec, 68 yards) and TE John Gilmore (2 rec, 6 yards, TD) led the way through the air for the Bucs.  The Buccaneers finished up with 151 yards rushing on 29 carries (5.2 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 39 passes for 174 yards as they had possession of the ball for 32:00.

Safety Sean Jones (8 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception), CB E.J. Biggers (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed), LB Quincy Black (7 tackles) and safety Corey Lynch (5 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception) led the way for the Bucs’ D in this game.  The Falcons finished up with 85 yards rushing on 27 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 36 passes for 205 yards.  The Buccaneers are now 7-5 on the season.

The Buccaneers just couldn’t get the offense going enough to pull this game out.  Josh Freeman was sub par in this game as he completed 17 of 37 passes for 162 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried  the ball 6 times for 27 yards (4.5 ypc) in this game.  RBs LeGarrette Blount (13 carries, 55 yards) and Cadillac Williams (4 carries for 19 yards and 5 catches for 41 yards) helped out offensively in this game for the Bucs.  TE Kellen Winslow led the way in the passing game for the Bucs with 4 catches for 44 yards (11.0 avg) with a TD grab.  The Buccaneers finished up with 101 yards rushing on 23 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 37 passes for 162 yards.

LB Barrett Ruud (9 tackles), safety Sean Jones (6 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 QB hit) and CB Aqib Talib (5 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 1 interception) led the way for the Bucs’ D in this game.  The Ravens finished up with 92 yards rushing on 26 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 35 passes for 257 yards.  The Buccaneers are now 7-4 on the year.

The Buccaneers played a solid game on both sides of the ball yesterday.  Josh Freeman completed 13 of 20 passes for 136 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 5 times for 15 yards (3.0 ypc).  Josh Johnson completed his only pass attempt good for 7 yards and he also carried the ball 1 time for 7 yards.  LeGarrette Blount did the heavy lifting in the running game for the Bucs with 26 carries for 82 yards (3.2 ypc).  Cadillac Williams had another solid game for the Bucs with 7 carries for 51 yards (7.3 ypc) with a TD run.  Mike Williams (4 rec, 54 yards, TD), Kellen Winslow (4 rec, 34 yards) and OT Donald Penn (1 rec, 1 yard, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Bucs yesterday.  The Buccaneers finished up with 162 yards rushing on 42 carries (3.9 ypc) and they also completed 14 of 22 passes for 137 yards as they had possession of the football for a stunning 36:24.

The Bucs sacked 49ers’ QB Troy Smith six times yesterday and six different defenders had them.  Safety Cody Grimm (7 tackles), CB Ronde Barber (INT) and LB Adam Hayward (3 tackles, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and 1 fumble recovery) led the way for the Bucs’ D in this game.  The 49ers finished up wtih 71 yards rushing on 18 carries (3.9 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 31 passes for 118 yards in this game.  The Buccaneers continue to roll as they are now 7-3 on the year.

The Buccaneers pushed the Panthers around yesterday in front of a very small crowd.  Shame on Bucs’ fans as they are missing watching a exciting, young football team!  Josh Freeman was outstanding once again yesterday as he completed 18 of 24 passes for 241 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 5 times for 19 yards (3.8 ypc) in this game.  LeGarrette Blount led the way on the ground for the Bucs in this game with 19 carries for 91 yards (4.8 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Cadillac Williams pitched in with probably his best game of the year with 5 carries for 62 yards (12.4 ypc) with a TD run.  He also caught 2 passes for 23 yards (11.5 avg) in this game.  WR Mike Williams (4 rec, 68 yards), TE Kellen Winslow (6 rec, 65 yards, TD), TE John Gilmore (3 rec, 52 yards) and WR Arrelious Benn (2 rec, 29 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game  for the Bucs yesterday.  The Buccaneers rushing for 186 yards on 30 carries (6.2 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 24 passes for 235 yards. 

LB Barrett Ruud (10 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) and CB Aqib Talib (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Bucs’ D yesterday.  Safety Sean Jones pitched in with a fumble recovery in this game.  The Panthers finished up with 118 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 16 of 29 passes for 182 yards.  The Buccaneers are now 6-3 on the year.

Atlanta Falcons 27, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 21

The Buccaneers played hard yesterday in Atlanta before coming up just a tad short in the end.  Josh Freeman completed 11 of 22 passes for 189 yards with 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 4 times for 26 yards (6.5 ypc) yesterday.  LeGarrette Blount led the way on the ground for the Bucs in this game with 46 yards rushing on 13 carries (3.5 ypc).  Cadillac Williams pitched in with 13 yards rushing on 8 carries (1.6 ypc) yesterday.  Rookie WRs Mike Williams (4 rec, 89 yards, TD) and Arrelious Benn (1 rec, 14 yards, TD) made big impacts in the passing game for the Bucs yesterday.  Michael Spurlock also made a big impact in the game yesterday for the Bucs with 2 catches for 46 yards (23.0 avg).  He also returned 4 kickoffs for 209 yards (52.3 avg) with a 89 yard TD return on a kickoff that cut the Falcons’ lead to six points late in the game.  The Buccaneers finished up with 96 yards rushing on 27 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 11 of 22 passes for 182 yards as they had possession of the ball for 25:54.

LBs Quincy Black (8 tackles) and Barrett Ruud (7 tackles) led the way for the Bucs’ D in this game.  The Falcons finished up with 130 yards rushing for 33 yards (3.9 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 36 passes for 235 yards.  The Buccaneers are now 5-3 on the year.

The Buccaneers were making big plays on both sides of the football and they needed all of them to hold off the Cardinals in Arizona.  Josh Freeman was really good for the Bucs again yesterday.  He completed 18 of 25 passes for 278 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 22 yards (11.0 ypc) in this game.  LeGarrette Blount was a workhorse for the Bucs yesterday as he carried the ball 22 times for 120 yards (5.5 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 2 passes for 9 yards.  Cadillac Williams had 4 carries for 10 yards (2.5 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 26 yards (8.7 avg) in this game.  Mike Williams led the way in the passing game as usual for the Bucs with 4 receptions for 105 yards (26.3 avg) with a TD grab.  The Buccaneers finished up with 154 yards rushing on 30 carries (5.1 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 25 passes for 253 yards yesterday.

The reason the Buccaneers won this game was because of the big plays the defense was making.  LB Geno Hayes finished up with 5 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 3 passes defensed and a interception that he returned 31 yards for a TD.  CB Aqib Talib was also dominating for the Bucs yesterday as he finished up with 5 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 2 INTs (he returned one of them 45 yards for a TD).  Safety Cody Grimm (8 tackles) and LB Barrett Ruud (6 tackles and 1 interception) also pitched in for the Bucs on D in this game.  The Cardinals finished up with 100 yards rushing on 23 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 40 passes for 296 yards.  The Buccaneers are now 5-2 on the year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 18, St. Louis Rams 17

The Buccaneers were down 17-6 at the half in this game and things weren’t looking too good for them.  But they chipped away with a couple of field goals before QB Josh Freeman took the Bucs on a last minute drive hitting Cadillac Williams with a 1-yard TD pass with 10 seconds left to seal the win!  Freeman completed 23 of 40 passes for 212 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 5 times for 40 yards (8.0 ypc) earlier today.  LeGarrette Blount led the way on the ground for the Bucs in this game with 72 yards rushing on 11 carries (6.5 ypc).  Cadillac Williams pitched in with 12 yards rushing on 4 carries (3.0 ypc) and he also caught 8 passes for 34 yards (4.3 avg) including the game winning TD grab.  WR Mike Williams (5 rec, 82 yards) and TE Kellen Winslow (5 rec, 44 yards) also pitched in for the Bucs in the passing game today.  The Buccaneers finished up with 124 yards rushing on 21 carries (5.9 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 40 passes for 189 yards. 

The Buccaneers made defensive adjustments at the half as they shut out the Rams the rest of the way.  LB Barrett Ruud (11 tackles) and CB Ronde Barber (10 tackles and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Bucs’ D today.  The Rams finished up with 161 yards rushing on 32 carries (5.0 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 26 passes for 124 yards.  The Buccaneers are now an amazing 4-2 on the year as they have already won more games than they did in all of 2009.

New Orleans Saints 31, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6

The Buccaneers got thrashed today by a very motivated Saints’ team.  Josh Freeman didn’t get much going today despite completing 25 of 43 passes for 219 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  Josh Johnson finished up the game by completing 1 of 2 passes for 17 yards.  He also had 1 carry for 11 yards.  Cadillac Williams only rushed for 18 yards on 10 carries (1.8 ypc) but he also caught 7 passes for 63 yards (9.0 avg).  Sammy Stroughter (3 rec, 51 yards), Mike Williams (4 rec, 45 yards) and Kellen Winslow (7 rec, 43 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Bucs today.  The Buccaneers finished up with 42 yards rushing on 18 carries (2.3 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 47 passes for 235 yards.

Sean Jones (8 tackles), Ronde Barber (8 tackles) and Quincy Black (8 tackles) led a simply pathetic effort by the Bucs’ D today.  Safety Cody Grimm pitched in with 4 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 INT.  The Saints finished up with 212 yards rushing on 32 carries (6.6 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 32 passes for 263 yards.  The Buccaneers are now 3-2 on the year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24, Cincinnati Bengals 21

Josh Freeman grew up right before our eyes today as he led the Bucs to 10 points in the last 1:26 of the game.  Freeman completed 20 of 33 passes for 280 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 20 yards (6.7 ypc) today.  Josh Johnson replaced him for a couple of plays when he got dinged up and he completed both of his pass attempts good for 4 yards.  Earnest Graham led the way on the ground for the Bucs in this game with 3 carries for 65 yards (21.7 ypc) with a TD run.  Cadillac Williams pitched in with 33 yards rushing on 11 carries (3.0 ypc) today.  Rookie WR Mike Williams had another big day for the Bucs as he caught 7 passes for 99 yards (14.1 avg) with 1 TD grab (it was late in the 4th quarter).  TE Kellen Winslow was also busy for the Bucs in this game with 6 grabs for 75 yards (12.5 avg).  WR Michael Spurlock only caught 3 passes for 35 yards (11.7 avg) and he lost a fumble today, but, he caught a 21-yard pass from Josh Freeman with 13 seconds left in the game to set up Connor Barth for the 31-yard game winning 31 yard field goal with 1 second left in the game.  The Buccaneers finished up with 125 yards rushing on 22 carries (5.7 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 35 passes for 266 yards. 

Rookie safety Cody Grimm led the way for the Buccaneers today with 11 tackles, 1 pass defensed and a interception that he returned 11 yards for a TD.  Sabby Piscitelli had 7 tackles, 1 pass defensed and a interception late in the 4th quarter with the Bengals driving that he returned 31 yards to set up the Bucs for their game winning drive.  CB Aqib Talib pitched in with 6 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception.  The Bengals finished up with 149 yards rushing on 28 carries (5.3 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 36 passes for 209 yards.  The Buccaneers are now a surprising 3-1 on the year.

Pittsburgh Steelers 38, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 13

The Buccaneers scored first in this game and that seemed to piss off the Steelers who punished them the rest of the game.  Josh Freeman completed 20 of 31 passes for 184 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 6 times for 15 yards (2.5 ypc) yesterday.  Josh Johnson replaced Freeman in garbage time and he went 6 for 6 passing for 67 yards.  LeGarrett Blount led the way on the ground in this game for the Bucs with 6 carries for 27 yards (4.5 ypc) with a TD run.  Cadiallac Williams finished up with 6 carries for 13 yards (2.2 ypc) but he also caught 5 passes for 33 yards (6.6 avg).  Earnest Graham carried the ball 2 times for 13 yards (6.5 ypc) and he also caught 4 passes for 57 yards (14.3 avg) yesterday.  Maybe the Bucs should have gotten him the ball more.  Rookie WR Mike Williams led the way in the passing game for the Bucs in this game with 5 grabs for 55 yards (11.0 avg).  The Buccaneers finished up with 75 yards rushing on 21 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 26 of 37 passes for 228 yards.

CB Ronde Barber (9 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss) and LB Barrett Ruud (9 tackles) led the way for the Bucs’ D in this game.  Quincy Black pitched in with interception and so did Aqib Talib but he also gave up a TD on another pass that he should have picked off.  The Steelers finished up with 201 yards rushing on 32 carries (6.3 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 17 passes for 186 yards.  The Buccaneers are now 2-1 on the year.
